Large bird? Did you feel it? Did it affect the engine/performance/stability?

Yes, no, no, no, no. Occurred about two miles out from landing. Saw it go by then smelled it in the bleed air/pressurization system. Smelled like warm stinky bird meat inside the cabin. Bird parts, guts, feathers were strewn throughout the outer cowl behind the N1 fan. Brand new jet too.

Wow. I don't think many people understand where the air in the cabin comes from:D

What kind of bird, how big?

Bird strikes are inevitable, I just never wanted one in the grill.
