Laguna Seca Raceway weekend in June
This event is open to all makes.
Get your registration in early as registration is on a first come first serve basis. Monterey Bay and Loma Prieta Regions of the Porsche Club of America (AKA Coastal Driving School) are putting on a Track day and Drivers Education Event at Laguna Seca raceway in Monterey, Ca. There will be 4 run groups. 2 Novice, 1 Intermediate and 1 Advanced. LOTS of track time is on tap! This June 26th and 27th event is open to all makes of sporty cars. This is your opportunity to drive Laguna Seca and the world famous corkscrew and or learn the techniques of car control that will enhance your ability to drive your car on public roads should difficult situations unexpectantly arise. Instructors are some of the best in the Northern California area with many years of on track instructing. Even if you are an advanced driver, instruction is available. Henry Watts, author of Secrets of Solo Racing is Chief Instructor. No car modifications are necessary, except for open cars not equipped with factory rollover protection. You will need a helmet. Expensive, but yes, a great track day. Especially for those of us who would have to drive from SoCal and lodge in that area, which is not exactly the low-rent district.

It is unfortunate that Laguna has raised the cost for a days rental. It is now in the $11,000+ range for one day.
Then there are all of the add ons that they require that we have. The costs to us just soar. We have limited the groups to make lots of track time and the instructors are part of the sign up. No additional cost for an instructor.
