Kerry's VP Choice; Does Anyone Care?

I've not been on the board for a few days, so I checked page two for any like subject matter, to avoid possible duplication of boredom. Who, oh who, will he pick?

Actually, this is all BS. I just wanted to post this Op-Ed toon. Luchovich is a master!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1089076034.gif

Anybody here remember the V.P. candidate who ran against Reagan in the first election?

350HP930 07-05-2004 06:44 PM

Anyone but cheney . . . :D

WOODPIE 07-05-2004 06:45 PM

Wasn't that Fritz something-or-other?

pwd72s 07-05-2004 06:48 PM

Beats me...I can't remember...and I guess, that's the point I am trying to make. ;)

speeder 07-05-2004 07:01 PM

It was definitely Mondale, (Carter's V.P. '76-'80), one of the weakest Presidential candidates ever, (against Reagan in '84), but a great guy and incidentally a close friend of my Dad. (They went to the University of Minnesota and law school together).

speeder 07-05-2004 07:02 PM

And that's a funny cartoon, all politics aside.

fintstone 07-05-2004 08:15 PM

Noone cares. Unless Kerry can ressurect JFK to be his running mate, it really doesn't matter. He is unelectable and will bring down the ticket. His VP candidate will never be electable again...just through association.

araine901 07-05-2004 08:36 PM

It will depend on how much despration he is feeling tommrow. It also depends on who the king and queen (Bill and Hillary) will let him have.

motion 07-05-2004 08:39 PM

People really do care, and it does matter. Remember H. Ross Perot's running mate? That choice pretty much put the nail in his coffin.

Gee, wasn't it Mondale who once ran for Prez with whatzhername as V.P.? Geraldine something or other? Another way to put it...anybody remember who LOST the 1979 Superbowl? No fair going to books or doing a search...just off the top of your head. For that matter, who won the 1979 Superbowl? Sure did seem important at the time...right?

True. Anybody stronger than Kerry will make Kerry look weak, anybody weaker than Kerry will make Kerry look weak...And whoever it is will get a bad spanking from Cheney in the debates.

Politics aside, Cheney is one bad mofo and, much to the chagrin of the left, clean as a whistle...The lies about Cheney will shrink in the face of truth...Truth will prevail.

Well, you got the landslide right. Kerry could win with O.J. as his running mate.

Oh, so you're the one that owns Mulholland, eh? Bring it on, Beyotch! :)

nostatic 07-05-2004 10:04 PM

What does the city pay for rent on Mullholand?

Put down the Kool-Aid bro...I just want to take this moment to remind you how I am going to rub your nose in it.

If the terrorists could vote, I think you would have a chance, alas...

Let me know when you are in town and I will show you definition #2 of "owning."

Oh, if you are so inclined, go pick up some R-compounds (you'll need them).

nostatic 07-05-2004 10:41 PM

sarcasm...and I was using the 1st definition.

sorry, I don't really go that fast...especially on public roads. I'm just learning to drive kinda fast.

I'd put money on Tyson against you at Willow though.

djmcmath 07-05-2004 11:21 PM

I'd put money on Tyson against almost anybody, with Jack as his running mate. Any chance of a write-in Tyson/Jack ticket? Nostatic, didn't you have a nomination for a cabinet position?

Better be careful there, rice pilot. Talking political trash is one thing, (no consequences), but you are in for a major f*cking enema in the driving department around here. I guarantee it. ;)

We got guys here who don't consider "drifting" a motorsport. :D

Edwards appears to be the pick. As a NC resident I find the man a total joke.

Served one term as a senator and spent almost half of it campaigning to become president. Made all his money suing companies into bankruptcy and lives in a $6,000,000 + home on the coast while calling himself an everyday sort of guy.

That being said I think he will help Kerry out.
