Interesting 240Z on EBay
Here is the 27th 240Z to roll off the assembly line. Appears to have had a rough life.
Quite an interesting find considering there were over 600,000 Zs made between 1970-78. |
Hmmm
The ID plate is rust free! "...the engine is seized but not the result of engine failure." Whew... LOL |
Here's the winning bid. Amazing.....
And here is my (for just one more day) eBay 260Z. Hate to see it go.... |

I would love to buy another 240Z, that was my first car, and all the original parts I took off, and threw away, to only rice it up.

They're great cars! If I was to build a United Nations of classic cars, the 240-Z would represent Japan, just as the '67 Alfa Romeo GTV would represent Italy.
The last time I was at Willow Springs, a guy showed up with a 240-Z with a 280-ZX engine in it. I think Jack Olsen went for a ride around the track in the car and came away impressed. You can drop anything into them; from all-out inline-six race motors to SM Chevys. The transmission and rear-end is supposed to be bullet proof. |
