Cant say that I've surfed a 10 footer, but I loooove my 9'6 and 9'0. Paddle twice, cross step forward, cheat five, cross step back, drop knee turn, bottom turn, trim up, drop head, head dip, stand up straight, kick out. Repeat.

In 1962 I cut my first class at high school (sophomore at Temple City) and went to the beach with older friends. Man, the eye candy was too tempting and I was hooked both on the sport and the people who hung around it. I spent many nights in the Golden Bear as well as the Prison of Socrates. Hmmm, hmmm, those were the good ol days. I think I still have splinters from the old oil derricks in HB. Man has that place changed.
