'Ghost voting' in Philly?

News stories this AM say that several Philadelphia voting machines had votes on them at poll opening. These stories are on Drudge. The people reporting the 'votes' are Republican monitors.

But the DA in Philadelphia says the machines did not have votes on them.

Any local PA types getting more current info?

I'm surprised the Republican monitors are still breathing. The only question is whether the Philly Dem machine has the self-discipline to stop stuffing at the number of registered voters. :D

LOL.

I guess that will help offset the mess in Florida...

Apparently the 'monitors' were looking at the machine "lifetime usage" counter. The vote counters were at zero. This is according to both the DA and a non-partisan observer group. Of course, it probably held up voting for 1/2 day in predominantly Democrat precincts. And maybe that was the whole idea.
