I'll take "Jesusland", but then again, I'm a Christian..., plus the weather is better than here in Michigan! It's been rainy and cold for almost 2 weeks now...

I'd take this plan if we can rename our new country to Sexico, with an appropriate matching theme.

Most Canadians will do anything to merge with Hawaii

Yep, that's about the way it was. Do you have any interesting ideas on a corelation between modern events and demographics of the past? Perhaps?

Well it seem too obvious to be true. That map is 150 years old. Americans have a reputation of moving a lot across the coutry and still those old differences would split the country ?

I wonder why nobody talk about it ?

WOODPIE 11-04-2004 08:18 PM

Well, as you say, too obvious to be true....

Another tidbit: When Southern slaveholders were, on the rare occasion, pressed to defend their chosen way of making a living as a moral one, the common tool used was, you guessed it, the bible.

Thats right punks, we know whats up, and you'll be too dead to do stop us.

Until those people get a few years on them. Then they'll see the light. What's that quote about the young liberal and older conservative?

928ram 11-05-2004 05:34 AM

From what I've heard that map's "highest turnout in 30 years" could be counted on one hand and didn't even account for a percentage point raise in thier participation.

What Hoff said; maturity has a funnt effect on one's POV, whatever Pdummy is saying bocomes less important.

Serge914, that is the map I was looking for in the last Howard Dean thread- thanks. :)

Moral values..............like slavery..............like war................like bearing crushing debt on the next generation...............like telling lies to excuse policy..........like forcing child birth on insest and rape victims..........I could go on, but we all know that the so called moral majority is neither.

Getting a nice head start on 2008, aren't we?
