Proud Papa

Hope you don't mind me sharing this.
My son learned to climb up the stairs by himself tonight!
Holy crap, kids grow fast.
Why yes, this is my first one.
He will be one Dec. 14 and I can't wait until he can go with me in the 911.
I never thought being a Dad would be this cool. I know he will probably cause us some grief at one point but right now it is just amazing watching him learn and discover goofy little things that I take for granted.
Thanks for letting me boast for a bit.:D

Bravo! Brag all you want. You just described one of the joys of life...

Remember these times! They will provide a healthy balance for the times when he does cause a little grief. And believe me he will, they all do at one time or another. But if your lucky, in the end, you'll realize that there is nothing in this world that compare to our kids.

That's great! Our son turned 1 just last month. I know what you mean about him learning things we take for granted. He's teaching us a lot about ourselves too.

Maybe this should be the official Proud Papa thread.

Tonight he helped me put in a new DME relay. :)

I know the feeling - our son will be 1 on the 29th, and our daughter is just over 4. Just to keep you going, she was able to open the fridge, get a beer, and bring it to me without dropping or shaking too much just after she turned 3. I figure another year or two before she'll be strong enough to help me change the #3 sparkplug or starter on my 356, but I'm patient :)

My 3.5yo son sang X-mas songs with his preschool class for the hospital cafeteria today ... knew every word and did great for his first "performance." It's amazing what these little people learn and retain in such short time

My 2yo son isn't far behind. He's gotta be the most polite kid ever - says "please" ("peez") and "thank you" ("tnk-ou") every single time he wants and gets something.

Well - Mine is due any moment now. The wife's five or so days over due.

Weeee!
