I'd hate to be that guy in a bar fight. :D

I think that's pretty cool, actually.... Not something i would do, but still pretty cool...

Victor 12-15-2004 03:23 AM

Geek gone bad.

Contact lenses - obviously no-one told him about contact lenses.

VaSteve 12-15-2004 06:41 AM

Cool, but how do you clean them? I mean I clean my every day and switch pairs to sun glasses for driving.

My first thought, what if I caught them on something while standing?!

All I can think of when I look at that picture is getting those things ripped out of my nose by some freak accident. Count me out and put me in the "this is a stupid idea" camp

Perhaps somebody should tell the poor lad about contact lenses?

cegerer 12-15-2004 03:13 PM

Ya know, I've accidentally bumped into things with my glasses. It didn't hurt. Maybe skewed the glasses a bit. With these? I'm guessing the inventor of these had just smoked a big fat joint 30 minutes prior to coming up with this brilliant idea ....

(little kid of 5'5"): "Are those real?" (poking glasses and scratching lens).,...

bryanthompson 12-15-2004 03:59 PM

If they're pierced into his head, why does he need the nose feet also? You'd think one uncomfortableness would be enough.

Saintly 12-15-2004 04:15 PM

I'm guessing that there is only one bar gount through his nose. that bar (at the top of the glasses) would have a loop or closed hook of some type. The glasses are then hung on the hook and rest on the nose pads.
The hook would also have a square edge to alow some directional control of the glasses.
Useing this method the glasses would be easly removable (with just the nose bar left in place) and they would probbly easly come off if you banged them. you could have multiple sets of lenses / sunglasses.
I doudt i would use a set tho.

Please don't show my daughter that photo. She might try it.

Jared at Pelican Parts 12-15-2004 08:16 PM

The Opti-grab!!!!!!

Jason Porter 12-16-2004 07:29 AM

And that's all I need!!!

vash 12-16-2004 07:57 AM

cool, get those lenses tinted and you can "tilt" them up indoors by just pivoting them via the shaft! unless you are a badass, and you order the shaft, splined.
