Son having surgery...prayers?

My little guy, Jacob, is having the ear tubes done tomorrow.
I know it is routine nowadays but it still is kinda weird cause it was a year ago to the day that my Dad passed away.

Could you that do, please include Jacob in your prayers tonight?
Thanks for the extra assistance,
Wayne.

Wishing you and your son luck. My son had ear tubes when he was about 4 and two hours after the surgery, he was running around like nothing had happened.

Wayne,

Our daughter had ear infections within a few weeks of birth, on and off, every 2 weeks. At 6 months we opted for tubes. In and out in maybe 30 minutes - if that. I'll certainly add Jacob in my prayers.

Wayne,
I know what you are feeling - I will sit for the little guy and I am sure he will do fine.

Even though it is routine, it's still worries good parents. Yes he is in my prayers tonight. Take care.

Prayers, indeed, Wayne. Count me in!

Wayne,
Best of luck to you and your son.

My 15 month old daughter just had tubes in both ears on Tuesday (2/22). She came through like a champ. The worst part was when she woke from the anesthesia. By lunch time, she was back to normal, and perhaps much happier.

She had 7 ear infections in the last 9 months- the last three were almost continuous. I am optimistic that these tubes will make a huge difference. I can already tell that her hearing has improved, now that the fluid has been drained.

Let us know that everything went well.

Good luck Wayne!

Just caught this tread. I hope went well.

A little late, hope all went well.

We went through this with our boy André (6) late last year, only he had to get a issue graft on the eardrum as well.

I'll pray for Jacob and his parents. Give him lots of love!

Great news! Glad to hear it.

djmcmath 02-24-2005 11:18 AM

Glad to hear it. This sort of thing is always a stress-test for the parents. :)

I'm late but I just said a prayer for your son and family. My son Daniel had tubes put in and they really helped him. Hope all goes as well with Jacob!

right on JACOB!

Jacob update:
The difference is amazing. Last night he was making all kinds of noises, trying to sing, and growling like his Daddy sometimes does.
The doctor told us that his hearing will improve a little each day. I think he can hear himself better now so he wants to do it ALOT!!
Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers.
