Sure would be nice during the summer! Course the triple car shop sure helps!

Even if its in Canadian funds, am still a bit short this week!

Yes, there's a built in shop behind the attached garage and the large RV stall has a mechanics pit too.
The next door neighbour also has a 930 in his garage.....

No takers?

OK, I'll admit it....Waaaaay too rich for me.....

Anybody with a lttle shack in CA can afford it.....

YTNUKLR 05-24-2005 04:46 AM

Cheap. Not cheap enough for me though. Wait twenty years for my investments to mature and I'll be all over that like white on rice.

Joeaksa 05-24-2005 06:53 AM

Rob,

Would love to have something like this but at my advanced age (52) I have a strong aversion to that white crap that comes out of the sky up North in winter.

This time of year here in Phoenix I would love to be up there with you guys. Yesterday it was "only" 110 here in the valley of the sun and for some reason all the people with Canadian license plates on their cars left town a month or two ago. We do not know why or where they go but for some reason they appear again around October. :)

Are they playing Santa Claus and going to the North Pole to work on toys?

In Canada eh
How much is the Tax man (sorry, person) going to want/demand every year and how often can they reappraise?

Hi Steve,
The taxes are the most desirable in this area for waterfront, currently running under $4000/annually comparable to waterfront in Kelowna which runs over $20,000.

Sorrento is a small Town, remote that will never see high taxes. The latest assessment was 1 year ago and the taxes went up a couple hundred bucks.... which is the norm for every 5 year cycle.

The property is also on water and Sewer which runs about $700/year. Natural gas heats the pool and electricity heats the house. I should mention the 400 Amp service with a fully loaded shop.

Richard,
I'm a compulsive mover...... bought and sold close to 40 homes now privately; trying to settle down a bit, but my kids are still in school and too young to retire. Waterfront is really moving these days too; we bought and sold 2 other waterfront properties over the winter and did very well on them. I've got some plans for developing my own waterfront retirement home? We'll see. The next move is into apartment buildings though...... hate being a Landlord, but the income will come in handy in a few years time.

Thanks for your posts guys!
We're planning on reducing our asking price, as we were looking for around a million on this property.
Cheers http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...sun_smiley.gif

I will attest to the beauty of the Sorrento area. My cousin and his family live nearby in Chase and also love it. This is where I plan on retiring to.... Good luck with the sale Rob!

Still selling the waterfront estate; but picked up this little piece of real estate this weekend..... gorgeous little place, very private. I'll be holding it for a while as waterfront prices are soaring.....

Great view! If you don't mind me asking, what does a property like that go for (ballpark)?
