I think it was Cradle to Grave the guy who is the star drives a 996 turbo cab, IIRC.
He uses it to push around a dumpster. |

Saw the tail end of this in a hotel in Koln: Jochen: Portrait of a Rennfarher. Looked to be a documentary tho.. It must be about Jochen Rindt who won the '65 Le Mans.
Anyone know about this film?

Then there was some other movie where a lady drives a yellow targa (actually french stunt man Remy Julienne) and does all sorts of pirouettes with it trying to impress the leading man

I think the "Smallville" car was actually a '78 SC non-sunroof coupe. If you look quick, you can watch it drive off the bridge at the beginning of every episode.
I was the runner up in the bidding when the studio sold it off.

SHAMPOO. Four adults stuffed in a 356 cab. And while it's not a movie, I'm working on a new TV show for ABC/Family called WILDFIRE where one of the characters drives a 996 cab'.

Very good. I'd forgotten Tony Bill's 356. The perfect car for that character. Everything in that movie was perfect. Hal Ashby's best.

The one that goes off the bridge is clearly a narrow bodied impact bumper car (no SC/Carrera flares in the rear and smaller Fuchs). Did the studio sell off the wrecked car or the "show" car? When did they do that?

One other very obscure movie where the principal drives across country to pick up gold bars (?? ridiculous plot) and while doing so gets into races with about anything with wheels with his white martini edition 76 all awesome TURBO. One scene had him drag racing an entire town's worth of cars across an airport- really bad movie, did i mention really bad?
