I think it was Cradle to Grave the guy who is the star drives a 996 turbo cab, IIRC.

He uses it to push around a dumpster.

"No Man's Land" -- a fun movie but seriously hurt by the potato-faced actor who played Corky or Dusty or Buddy or Scooter, or whatever his name was. Completely unbelievable as a cop or leading man. Sheen was good, though. I'll bet he wangled a Porsche out of that movie deal -- and subsequently trashed it.

i was stoked when a movie with so much visual appeal like Matrix III used a old school black 911 to drive up to the club where they meet the frenchman...good taste...strange movie

Saw the tail end of this in a hotel in Koln: Jochen: Portrait of a Rennfarher. Looked to be a documentary tho.. It must be about Jochen Rindt who won the '65 Le Mans.
Anyone know about this film?

Then there was some other movie where a lady drives a yellow targa (actually french stunt man Remy Julienne) and does all sorts of pirouettes with it trying to impress the leading man

Hey, I built that car (with help from some friends)! Of course, it gets into the movies after I sold it! Doh!

I think the "Smallville" car was actually a '78 SC non-sunroof coupe. If you look quick, you can watch it drive off the bridge at the beginning of every episode.
I was the runner up in the bidding when the studio sold it off.

SHAMPOO. Four adults stuffed in a 356 cab. And while it's not a movie, I'm working on a new TV show for ABC/Family called WILDFIRE where one of the characters drives a 996 cab'.

Very good. I'd forgotten Tony Bill's 356. The perfect car for that character. Everything in that movie was perfect. Hal Ashby's best.

I've studied this car on DVD, and to be truthful I can't tell exactly what the car is. I DO know it was at least two cars that were shot...the "nice" shots may have been an SC that was rebadged a Carrera (interior looked more like an SC, but the back end said Carrera. Of coursee '84 Carreras DID look a lot like SCs on the inside.)

The one that goes off the bridge is clearly a narrow bodied impact bumper car (no SC/Carrera flares in the rear and smaller Fuchs).

Did the studio sell off the wrecked car or the "show" car? When did they do that?

Some great shots of it in the first two episodes!

What do you do for the show?

remember a 911 of some variant parked on the street during the Marble Rye episode I think...when George was hoisting the bread back inside
That one was on the other day and I picked that up right away.

Just rewatched License to Drive during a layover and it has lots of P cars in it.

One other very obscure movie where the principal drives across country to pick up gold bars (?? ridiculous plot) and while doing so gets into races with about anything with wheels with his white martini edition 76 all awesome TURBO. One scene had him drag racing an entire town's worth of cars across an airport- really bad movie, did i mention really bad?
