She might have been serious --- if she really was a Vet, she would be less inclined to eat cute little furry animals, non?

If a small animal, exotic animal or a horsie crowd Vet, maybe. Those types can be strange. If a large animal Vet, no way. My brother is a large animal Vet and I have seen his buddies at barbecues and they chow down meat like there is no tomorrow. 50 guys will roast a whole pig and there is nothing left at the end of the afternoon but bones.

She may have been refering to the "other" meat.
