Does anyone else believe Afghanistan and Iraq will become strong allies and help us fight in the never ending war on terror?

Well, I think Iraq and Afcrapistan can at least become productive members of the world community, instead of cesspools of rampant human rights violations and evil dictatorships...

And I think Iraqis have a good attitude about the changes. I watched the documentary Gunner Palace, which had some footage of a few Iraqi policemen that had a positive attitude about the changes since Saddam has been ousted.

I think if we follow through, Iraq will become a stable independant nation, and can become quite prosperous.

And honestly, I think it depends on how much they let Islam dictate how they behave...

Islamic fundamentalism is the popular basis for government in Afghanistan and Iraq. (And Iran.)

Afghanistan today is producing more poppies/opium than ever.

The Taliban and/or warlords govern most of Afghanistan. It is likely that Iraq will be similarly divided, with national government apparent in only a handful of cities.

Iraq's new consitution will give women fewer freedoms than they had under Saddam.

We bomb the crap out of their countries, kill thousands of Innocent women and children doing it and now they don't want to play with us... ingrates!
