I use a PC at home, but Iv'e got a PC, linux box and mac at work, I mostly use the PC though. Can't give any crap to MAC though since it's based on unix.
|
PC. MACs are worthless in the engineering world. My first two computers were MACs, though.
|
Mac at home. PC at work but would use a Mac if I could.
|
im on a psp what does that count as?
|
Mac laptop for travel, PC running Linux on the desktop, and poorly administered Windows at work. I love my Mac, and I'm usually satisfied with my PC. I suspect if the Windows machine at work wasn't administered by a bureaucracy that would put the Vogons to shame, it'd probably run reasonably well. (sigh)

I use a PC w/ XP Pro..
However, I have stuff on it that duplicates alot of what a Mac U/I does. I find it alot easier to use. It confuses both PC and Mac people. for those interested: Stardock - Object Desktop
Here's a sceenshot : http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1125122526.jpg |
and another that shows more " Clutter "
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1125122597.jpg Remember --- this is Windows XP Pro without the " Bill " factor |
Um.....
Yes? |
5 Macs and 1 PC at home.
1 Mac and 1 PC at work. The only thing I want that I can't get on my Mac is 3D Studio Max although I do have several alternatives. I guess I really want 3ds simply because I can't get it. Scott |
Mac for all my work...
PC for the occasional game |
I'm forced to use PCs at work. We switched over to PCs from Macs at work back in the late '80s... Been using Macs at home since '93.
Mike |
Just switched to a Mac at home; wondering why I waited so long. At work, it's PC's, but I have tech support there to fix their constant problems, plus very dilligent virus police and the firewall from hell. I found that at home without my company's resources on these fronts, and no willingness to learn about them and troubleshoot my home computer, the Mac has been a godsend.
|
3 Mac laptops and 2 iMacs at home, G5 /22" monitor at work. A shuffle, 2 mini's (blue and pink) and a 20G for home. I know you didn't ask about iPods but, hey, they're Apple. F PC's.
|
Gassy.....isn't it great too see a 25% up top?
My Rig: Work: Apple G5 Dual 2GHZ with 4 GIG RAM......and 2 23 inch Cinema Displays... Home: see above SvK |
Hey Stomachemonkey-
A while back you asked me to name just one program available for pc and not mac. How 'bout 3D Studio Max?;) Just messin' with ya!:D |
I have both PCs (my main machine and wifes) and a Mac (iMac w/dvd). All run Linux though...
|
I use a Mac at home. I use a PC at work to collect viruses.
|
that's a serious rig Svk!!!
|
2 macs at home: iBook and Mini Mac.
Anyone know the US statistic for percent split between windows based and Mac? |
the reason there a 25% Mac, is that ALL the mac people are jumping on this and probably about .005% of the PC people HAVE VOTED :D

Or they have not gotten to the poll because they are to busy trying to block pop ups and spyware or have just decided the safest way to experience the net is with a can and string.
Oh, and Sebring, it was "name one app that's not available OR does not have an alternative":) so I still win;) |
blue screen ... never get them
pop-ups, spyware, pita crap ... I don't use IExplorer ( Firefox better ) |
There are plenty of reasons to like Macs even if you ignore all the spyware/adware/trojans/worms/viruses:
