Hot Loads
OK. So I picked up a couple of pistols...
Kel-Tec P-11 (9mm 3.1" barrel) Kel-Tec P-3AT (.380 2.7" barrel) These are short barrel, for concealed carry. What loads would you gun nuts out there suggest? I have Federal Hydro-shocks for defense. Any other's to consider? I will probably pick up a SIG 9mm or a 1911 Replica, as the check book allows... |
Jeez, how many guns are you going to conceal? Must have a bunch of pockets.
You're going to look like this guy. http://www.big-boys.com/articles/baggyclothes.html |
not that I would know firsthand of the effectiveness of Federal, but that and Cor-Bon get good reviews.
I'd reccomend any of the SIG's. Killer. I'd have another (I had a 229) if they did Ambi. rjp |

"Hey! Is that an Uzi? - 'Why yes, yes it is!'" The P-3AT is for concealed carry, when my permit comes through... |
Remotely on this topic, I thought the gun nuts might appreciate this picture that I took few days ago, at a grocery store in Warren County, Adirondacks:

I have a Sig P232SL in .380 and it will digest just about anything; but the Corbon 90gr JHP is probably the "hottest" round in this caliber.

Wife has a Kel-Tec P-3AT on her side of the bed. I have a S&W 686 .357 Mag on my side. I like the Kel Tec for concealment, but the dang thing just feels like a toy- the S&W, however...
Get a mag extension. It will fill your hand better and improve your groups. Then practice like crazy with the hydro-shocks... Cheers, Paul. |
