how to resize photo's??!?

I'm not the most computer literate person so I'm stumped at this point. I have a photo thats 435KB and it needs to be 195KB or less to be able to post it. What do I do? If this was a car project this would be the point where the big hammer comes out!

PLEASE HELP ME:confused:  SmileWavy

there are probably 3 dozen threads on how to resize jpgs just on the 911 technical board. Just takes some searching. Also, you could probably plug "resizing photos" into Yahoo.com or Google.com and get a ton of info.

Just download IRFANVIEW from Grisoft.com - it is fast, free and has all the facilities needed to resize, crop, colorchange brighten and display photos - and is so easy to use that it has hundreds of thousands of users worldwide.

If you have Windows, simply open up the picture in Microsoft Photo Editor. Click in IMAGE - RESIZE.

It's pretty straightforward.

Are you trying to post the pic here on the PP BBS? Go ahead and try posting it without resizing, AFAIK Pelican's forum hosting software automatically resizes it to whatever the maximum allowed is.
