U.S. plan to study fence at border
http://www.cbc.ca/cp/world/051217/w121750.html
In an effort to further inconvenience travellers to the US, some in congress want to build a wall between BC and Washington State. This is in addition to a requirement for more documentation and scrutiny for those entering the US for any reason. The US/Mexico fence I can understand but to my knowledge there are not teeming hordes of illegal aliens trying to enter from the North. The teeming hordes are typically housewives heading to the Gap Outlet. A fence will hurt the law abiding and have little or no effect on those who choose to try to enter illegally. Post 9/11 line-ups to go south are already 1 - 4 hours on the weekends. Forget going on long weekends. What a joke. Maybe the procurement guys can pick up pieces of the Berlin Wall on ebay. I only hope Pink Floyd stays around long enough to help knock it down a second time. |
I am not against it, it will stop illegals aliens who try to enter in our country from the US border.

Gawd, can you imagine a world where hordes of illegal Canucks are invading our country?
"Eh, you want fries with that, hoser?" |
Its because of all the weed up in vancouver.:D
Ttrying to shut down the americans sneaking up, buying cheap weed, and smuggling it back to the states.. Why else would it just be in BC? Sometimes, my country needs an enema... AFJ |
Maybe it's to keep Californians from moving to Canada. ;)

We were gonna build a wall with ice blocks. You know, like a giant igloo, but with global warming & all, it might be hard to keep the beer cold much past the end of July. Two months of warm beer kinda sucks.
Keep cool, eh. Les |
