Whats gettin HOT in guns
Smith & Wesson N ftame revolvers are gettin hot...especially the Pinned and Recessed models...thats saying nothin about the 4, 5 screw and pre-war guns.
Smith over the years have discontinued mfg of many models of their big frame revolver. Now it seems the boyz are out there looking for em...they have realized what they are missin. Current prices on the Pinned and Recesed guns are in the $475 to $600 range... Lets take a pre-war Smith & Wesson Registered 357Magnum. It was orginalily offered as a revolver built the way U wanted it. ea a handbuilt special order gun, which came with its own registration certificate. Its cost during the Depression of the 1930s was $75, a vertible fortune for a working man. Smith thought it would be a limited production gun due to its cost, however much to their astonishment they were swamped with orders. So Smith built rougly 5000 guns that were registered and thereafter dropped the registration certificate. These gunbs for years were on the expensive side each costing around $1000 then at one fine auction one sold for $17,000...BTW I was a bidder on that gun...but barely got in one bid before it went past my limit. Since then they have been selling in the $4500 to $11000 range.
