A Pelican moment??

Only my Porsche friends on Pelican will truly appreciate this.

I stepped out for lunch today to get a sandwich and the place I go to is literally just across the street.

Before I got back to my building, I saw a black '86-'87? ragtop Carrera (top down of course), then a dark blue beautiful 356C soon to be followed by a silver 996.

Gotta love the Bay Area.

Oh yeah, thanks Wayne!

Lets see here, I saw an SC about a week ago and I keep seeing a mid 70's 911, but the driver is a snob. Other than that NO PORSCHES up here in mosquito country (Tower, Minnesota).

PS. If anyone happens to be going through Tower stop by HooDoo Pt. Campground! I'm starting to go through withdrawls and need a Porsche guy to talk to! 35 days away from my 912 and 58 more to go! http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/.../crucified.gif

Los Angeles is filthy with them. If I take a long drive across town, I not only see a handful of Porsches, I'll generally also spot a pre-74. They just don't rust out here, and the whole city is status crazed.

Here in San Diego,if you don't see 6 or 7 a day going to work ,somethings wrong.Hell, there's 3 on my block alone, and my parts guy has no less than 12 of them at any given time and he's only 6 miles away.

Lucky I live in a pretty nice area and so I see a few 911s from time to time (including the 996 models). If it were not for this it is rare to see one running around Atlanta.

Boxsters are a different story and are a dime a dozen, don't care if I see one or not... I will still look at them though http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/smile.gif

I do enjoy seeing other p-cars on the road no matter which they are.

The only things I see here in Texas are trucks,SUVs, and more trucks.

Ever seen someone using a (I haven't carry anything in this thing yet) 30ft long duallie as a daily driver to do IT work? A sad sight.
