Porsche lies
I almost never tell lies but for some reason the 911 brings out the worst in me.
When people look at the SC and ask "Has it got a turbo?" I say "No, the factory decided this particular model was way too powerful already, so they just put the turbo on lesser models". When they ask "What's it like to drive?" I say "It's nice to drive but it's way to powerful for normal driving on the streets. If you accidently blipped the accelerator (gas pedal) you would probably wipe out three parked cars and a lamp post". After a few beers at a BBQ a particuarly cute chick asked how long I'd had the 911. I said "since I was fifteen". She said "Wow that's young to buy a Porsche". I said "Well, actually... My Mom wasn't too pleased with me, she said if I passed my school exams I could buy any car I liked. Well I passed so Mom wrote me out a blank cheque and I headed into town and checked out the Honda dealerships and the Toyota places... Then suddenly I had an idea and I got on a train and headed to Wellington and went to the Porsche dealership. Mom was furious with me, and barely spoke to me for about a year." The young chick was very impressed. |

I know what you mean. My neighbor has an SC with a 993 motor and PMO carbs and a crankfire ignition system, and bigger cams and he let me drive it. I jumped on the loud pedal on the freeway on ramp and the thing went sideways on me. Unbelievble.
No lie.

I once let Chuck Norris drive my Porsche. He killed 10 people by merely blipping the throttle.
No lie.

I do the same thing. I get asked if my car is faster than a 911, and I say, "No".

I told her my Swedish-made penis enlarger pump was for making my torsion bars bigger. She wasn't impressed.

A couple years ago in the Fry's parking lot I approached a young guy who was getting into a nice 3.2 Cab. I said, "Hey, what year is your 911?" and he replied "1999." So he went from potential friend to lying dumbass in 0.5 seconds.
Be careful out there....

The crazy thing is, although the Porsche does 150mph down the freeway it still uses less gas than a Honda Civic...
