Spotted an old 911 in a Heineken commercial last PM
I was watching the History Channel last PM (recovering from pneumonia) and saw an interesting commercial from Heineken. A guy and his "adult" son were sitting on the front porch, drinking a beer and they look out to the curb to see an old 911 (looks like a long-hood, unrestored, not good paint, primer spots, etc...) and they mention something about the "other brother" who's bringing the beer. The 911 driving brother has the Heineken and the other brother says something like, "Dad, I brough the beer", and the father says, "Did you, did you really"? and the "lame brother's response is "but I got better grades in college" and the dad walks up to get the "good" beer and greet the "successful" brother. What makes this weird for me is the the 911 is not in very good shape and appears to be a POS, but I could be wrong.
Fever was clouding my brain, but did anyone else happen to see it or TiVO it? I don't remember when it was on, but there were a few Beck's commercials and a cute commercial with a tiny Godzilla and some cute Japanese kids that also made me laugh. Did anyone else see this or was it the product of a feverish dream?

Paul,
Thank you! I seem to have missed that post. I still wonder whay they used a "beater" 911 in the commercial? What is the point the advertisers are trying to make?

To us, it's a beater sepia brown 911. To everyone else, it's a beer ad.
