Nashville, Again
I just got back from Nashville, again.
$250 in gas. I pulled a U-haul 5x8 on the way back. I went from 18 mpg there to 11 mpg back. I have to go back in October to close my dad's estate. I still can't get my 951 out of the garage until I get rid of all this stuff in the garage. I estimate I've spent about $2000 in meals, gas, hotel rooms, vehicle rentals, and trailer rentals that I otherwise would not have spent on trips to Nashville. I've spent another $2000 in repairs to my truck that probably would not have to have been made so soon (new tires, rotors, calipers, pads, wiring, fluids). I noticed the trailer was bouncing a lot between the rental place and the storage space. I checked the tire pressure. Left tire:45 psi. Right tire: 20 psi. What ensued was a four-act farce as I repeatedly blew fuses on either my truck, my air compressor, or my custom-fabricated cigarrette lighter extension cord as it took me close to 4 hours to get the pressure up to 41 psi.
