Pro-Diablo
I bought this yesterday at a roadside fleamarket. It's a Barnett pro diablo. (At least I think it is, it might be a Chinese clone!)
http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/6109/prodiablo3kg.jpg The lady selling them thought it was for a son. I didn't want to disillusion her and tell her it was for me. I've been playing with it this morning using some eco-friendly lead balls that were in the gun cabinet. Too cool for school! When I was a tomboy my dad made be a catapult and taught me to aim holding it with the forks sideways and aiming with the top prong. Despite the weights, stabilisers and sights I find this high tech one works best in the same way. I may try some experiments later with icecubes and neighbours windows. ;) |
Catapult? Across the pond we call that a "slingshot".

Poor chickens...

You'll have to bear with me sometimes:o :p
I'm a yank, living in Italy who was brought up in England. So my spelling and language are more English than American and after 25+ years in Italy my phrasing is a bit Italian in construction. To me a slingshot is one of those things that David swung around to launch a rock and kill Goliath. |
I like the ice cube/window idea. Reminds me of the "brain teaser" with the dead stabbing victim lying in the pool of blood and water.
|
I was going to suggest frozen paintballs, but the icecubes are ingenious!!
|
David used a sling. A slingshot is a Y with an elastic band across it...
|
Milu, my expert on language, weapons and instruments of attitude adjustment agrees with your definition of sling:o
But do you know what an Irish slungshot is?:D |
Icecubes! The evidence evaporates! brilliant!
