Anyone here work at a Porsche dealership?
PCNA is being right pricks with their new policies on exporting cars from the US to Canada. In the midst of an import (paid for, in transit) they changed their policy to stop providing recall clearance letters to commercial importers. Now I've got this boxster here in Canada, and no way to register it without a recall clearance letter. I've spoke to PCNA several times, and I just keep hitting a brick wall.
What I need is some kind of confirmation that their are no open recalls on the VIN#. It must be on Porsche letterhead, or if it's a printout from a computer, must have a Porsche authorized dealer's business card photocopied onto it, with a signature. If anyone can help me out, I'm more than happy to reimburse for costs or time. The VIN is WP0CA2988XU632276. It's a 99 Boxster. Yes, I've been advised there may be more "nefarious" ways of "obtaining" this letter, but I'd like to explore the legit avenues first. ![]()
