To move from the Iran tit to the Arab bosom. If Syria could be persuaded to give Iran the boot, and rejoin the Arabic forum, the Iranians would not be able to pull the Hesbollah puppet strings. Hamas and Hesbollah would regain some semblance of the terrorist organization that they are, rather than be emboldened by the legitimacy that the elections have given them.

Everyone would save face, and the Lebanese could go back to rebuilding whats' left of their shattered country.

If only our foreign policy had the balls to propose the big picture.
