Ekimov is still riding? Geez, I'm old :p

I have a bad hip from a road crash. I've never been the same since. I can't believe this guy....kudos to him.

Way to go Floyd!

HardDrive 07-23-2006 06:56 PM

What an amazing tour. Just an absolute roller coaster.

It was a blessing the big hitters like Ulrich got booted.

turbo6bar 07-23-2006 07:09 PM

From uniball to unihip, the progression continues.

dd74 07-23-2006 08:26 PM

Unileg? :D

RPKESQ 07-24-2006 02:22 AM

An amazing effort! Unbeleivable! Landis is the Man...

Willem Fick 07-24-2006 05:21 AM

High time too! He geve his everything for Lance Armstrong to succeed in previous years, so IMHO it's good karma catching up with him!

Great stuff!

Story's not over yet:

He cheated !!

greglepore 07-27-2006 08:24 AM

Please. There is a suspicious finding regarding the ratio of two naturally occuring hormones. The B sample has yet to be tested. The testo/epitesto ratio is not the kind of thing that would change w/ the kind of PED you'd take to get thru a single stage. Floyd had an extreme physiologic event the day before and no one has any information as of yet as to how this might affect the ratio of 2 naturally occuring hormones. He was negative in numerous other tests throughout the Tour, the Tour of Californina, and a bunch of other races this season where he was tested. And he isn't officially even "positive" unless both the A&B are.

At this stage of the investigation, comments that he "cheated" are really cheating Floyd.

Porsche-O-Phile 07-27-2006 08:25 AM

Whooboy. The Frenchies are gonna' love spinning this. . .

Laneco 07-27-2006 08:32 AM

Regrettably, the words HE CHEATED are now on everyone's mind. Even if exonerated, the specture will remain, tainting everything that he has worked so hard for. Personally, I find it very very hard to believe this is true given his other tests, the fact that this is a naturally occuring hormone etc. Unfortunately, cyclists are convicted of doping on the shadow of a doubt not on the absence of doubt or overwhelming presentation of fact!

Phonak has already announced that if the test is confirmed, they will fire Floyd.

Talk about going from the top of the world (TDF Podium) to the depths of despair in just a few short days...

Thats what he gets for exposing his bare skinned legs in public. Glory be to the Lord.

singpilot 07-27-2006 08:52 AM

Armstrong went thru the same sheet.

Laneco 07-27-2006 09:15 AM

You are SO wrong about the shaved legs comment. Let me give you a woman's perspective:

Men + Muscular Shaved Tanned Legs = REALLY HOT STUFF!!

Men with Muscular Shaved Tanned Legs are positively drool worthy. They should be annointed with oils - all applied by women's hands...:p

Trust me on this - when you're the only chick riding with a bunch of guys - the scenery is GREAT!!!!!

Uh-oh:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/more/specials/tour_de_france/2006/07/27/landis.doping/index.html?cnn=yes

svandamme 07-27-2006 09:37 AM

i'm gonna leave it to the docs to proove if he was indeed doped up or not, but it is not normal , that any athlete, can do a multiple week event of the magnitude of Tour de France ( Which is in it's own right allready heavy to the point where it's near impossible for anyone normal ), and right after that, he's winning a small thing in the Netherlands, and had signed up for another event in the netherlands, and one in Denmark

sure , he cancelled the other 2 events after the accusations, but he was going to do them ...

you have to admit that it's pretty weird to undergo, and win a brutal event like TDF , and then not even take 1 week vacation to recover from it.. especially considering he himself claimed he had a hip that required surgery withing weeks or months...

regardless of dope or no dope, it's not natural
and by that i mean , the whole tour, and the sport itself isn't natural...

dd74 07-27-2006 09:45 AM

Things seem more sure now that Landis "doped" than when Armstrong was accused of it.

Shameful...
