Anyone remember CARtoons?
I'm looking for a 60's era Car comic book. I'm not sure if it was CARtoon or a different one.
One of the cartoons had two cavemen testing out the first wheel. They crash and exclaim that "it's back to the drawing board". Returning to the cave they have a cave drawing with Craig Breedloves "Spirit of America" on the wall. Do you know of this issue? If not are you a good enough artist to draw it up for me? Mike |
I used to buy CARtoons all the time.
Mom threw them all away. Sorry. |
Well guys you lit a fire under me and I just came back from my Dundgeon basement and dug up my old CARtoons...they smell weird...LOL...that good old cheap paper is getting well OLD!
I have from Jan 1982 to the end of 1991 - 10years and I found 5 editions that have really good Porsche and VW content...anyone interested in seening them?? I could either scan or photograph them. And yes I have that color Porsche Fanatic wheelie edition too! Yasin |
I'd love to see some scans. Used to get CARtoons all the time in grade school, taught me how to draw all sorts of cool creations.....

I have a bunch of old issues. I'l flip through them and see if I can find it.
George Trosley has a website, you might try that too. |
I Do !!! (I'm 46) I loved those rags when I was a teen

That was one of my favorite mags back then. Scans or pics would be great to see.

Hell yeah...I even have 3 T-shirts with the iron-ons from the mag.
Corvair Crazy Daffy for Dodge and 1 of a firetruck. That mag rules--Shawn Kerri was a hell of an artist. |
slow&rusty - if you need a (free) place to host your scans or pics, send me a pm.

In addition to CARtoons there was another magazine (same publisher) called HOT ROD CARtoons. Haven't thought about those in years!
