I flew out of ATL at 9AM Thursday last week (the day the new restrictions started).

I was first class, though, so I didn't get to rub shoulders with the heathens. The wait was still about 1.5 hours, though.

I'd expect the wait at security to be somewhat less since they will have fewer people needing to dispose of their hairspray, urine samples, and flamethrowers prior to going through security.

However, there will probably be a longer line at the ticket counter as people may need to check more luggage.

I flew from ATL to Memphis today - total time to get through the ticket line and security was about 45 min or less.

Well, there ya go. When I flew last week it was the first HOURS of the new no-liquids regs. It was a total clusterf*ck. Half the employees pointing people in the "right" direction didn't even know which direction to point in....

I just changed my tickets in Sept. I was going to fly into and out of Atlanta and decided to change it to Asheville. Nothing beats a tiny airport.

Good luck Procon, it sounds like things are leveled off.

Small airports are the best. Less hassles. Im flying from Newark to Fort Lauderdale tommorow morn. I'm dreading it.

What are you doing in Ft. Lauderdale?

Heading down to the Keys for a week. Flying into FLL. Gonna spend a night in Lauderdale and South Beach
