TMI. Should we all throw in some quarters & buy you that good ol' "101 positions.." book?SmileWavy

nostatic 09-10-2006 10:22 PM

that isn't really the issue. You'd be amazed at how a messed up knee and foot knocks out quite a few of those positions...

artplumber 09-10-2006 10:25 PM

Or not... some of those positions were quite... umm, athletic:)

It has been one hot, humid summer here in Missouri. I am really looking forward to fall!

It seems the guy in the "seasons" took the 1st jab. So I must ask why the guys living in colder climtes feel the need to vindicate themselves.

If you like winter and snow and cold good for you. I lived in it long enough to know I do not like it and being a car guy I can appreciate even more the ability I have to drive my "fun" car all year long.

We are considering a move to North Carolina, the one thing that stops me is winter. I do not like cold, cold hurts.

Does any one have a link to the FAll Schedule. Tells you state by state when and where the best place to be for the Big Color Bursts.

Two thoughts: air density and air cooled.

Psshhh.. Here in the Midwest "fall' seems to last like 3 weeks... ...and springtime is the day between 30 and 95.

" I do not like cold, cold hurts."

Sounds like the talk I hear from the senior citizens around here immediately before they move to Florida and buy a trailer outside of Orlando.:D

Sing that song to me in Feb. when I am taking a day trip in my P-car with the Targa top out.

I hate cold, its my personal choice. I like swimming and surfing 12 months a year and no not mind not having seasons. Its not everybidies cup of tea, I understand that.

I guess as much as season lovers cannot understand me I cannot understand them. I look at fall as a warning of some nasty weather on its way.

Jim Richards 09-11-2006 08:40 AM

After a dozen years in FL, I was happy to move a bit further north. The mid-Atlantic has reasonable 4-season weather, though it's not consistent from year-to-year. Fall and Spring are great, though sometimes too short.

Todd, you grouch! Must be nice surfing conditions right now, eh? :p

Halm 09-11-2006 08:57 AM

If Winter did not come after Fall, Fall would be great. That said, I hate Winter so Fall is just a harbinger of bad things to come. Now Spring, that is my favorite time of year. Great temperatures, days are getting longer and things are turning green. And the best part is that Summer is coming. I'll take heat over cold any day!

If you check for the last few years, NC has actually had more severe snow storms with large accumulations then the upper Mid Atlantic states. The last winter, we might of had 30" of snow, (usually 70" yearly average). Blame global warming, I guess. Soon PA will become the new Sunbelt, and Florida will be the new Panama.

SoCal has 4 seasons: early summer, summer, late summer, and 2 weeks of winter. Works for me. And we have leaves that turn color, too. I get sooooo tired of, "oh I miss the seasons..."

Then get the fck out of here! Less traffic...

+1,000

I have to say the BEST time of year around here is the week between Christmas and New Years. There's NO traffic, the weather is great and it's completely laid back - the way it ought to be.

And SoCal does just fine without the legions of self-important individuals here. We'd do just fine without most of 'em the rest of the time too.

Ahhh. . . I love that time of year. Get anywhere you want in record time and enjoy the beaches and sunshine. Beats flying back to Freezeyourassoff, Massachusetts and spending "quality time" with relatives I generally can't stand more than a half-hour at a time with anyway. . .
