GO BEARS

The game has passed on by Al Davis. He used to get over on all the other owners by trading for the problematic players and criminals. Now every team has those types.

He should just stick to giving HOF induction speeches and turn over the football stuff to someone else.

The team of "renegades" has morphed into the team of "cast offs". Hard to believe Raider Nation can get dressed up and support this team for the whole season.

What's worse is that the cancer that is Randy Moss will now fester. It will actually get worse from here. Notice that Minny looked really good?

JeremyD 09-12-2006 05:27 AM

No kidding, they elected him one of the captians? sort of like being line leader in your local cell block.

He is a great athlete and wide reciever. Thats it. He is the the reason someone coined the phrase "there is no I in team".

Looks like we are finally close to "purging" the deseased players on our team. Looks like the pac picked up korn. That team is going the wrong way this year.

Heh heh heh. . .

The Patriots didn't look that great this weekend either but at least they somehow scraped out a win. . .

People have been saying that about the Pats for the last five years. Track record looks pretty good to me.

You guys happy to be rid of Branch?

I don't know much about him other than his hold out...I hope he's not a Moss type cancer.

It's bad enough Minnesota got Hutchins from us...and it shows for both teams. :(

Moses, I'm sorry...I really am. I grew up a huge Raiders fan...that is until they moved to L.A. and by then I was a bleed-blue Seahawks fan.

Yes, that's right, I was and still am a RAIDER HATER!!! ;)

Speaking of better - Mike Nugent better shape up, or my Jets ain't gonna go very long... Instead of a well-secured lead going into the fourth, they won by the hair on their chinny-chin-chins.

Oh, and here's the required shout out:

Go Jets!

I respect Branch - he's a good player. Too bad they weren't able to keep him but the difference between a kingdom and a dynasty is that dynasties transcend individuals. If the Patriots go far (and I believe they will), it'll only cement their dynasty status.

They've got a lot of work to do though - some growing pains with some new players. Losing Viniteiri sure hurt, but I understand why it had to be that way. New guy looks pretty good, but we'll see if he can be the new "Mister Clutch".

Daryl Lamonica, Fred Billitnikoff, George Blanda, Pete Banaszak, Warren Wells, Jim "00" Otto, those were the days....

GDSOB 09-12-2006 08:08 AM

Bengals are going to be tough this year. Carson Palmer looks good, lots of weapons on offense. Marvin finally has them playing defense. Brutal schedule though...
