Cool New road bike!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! (bike porn)

I have been dying to get on a road bike again. 2 years on a hybrid because of my back. But things are feeling pretty sorted out with the spine at this point. Well, at least it has reached a level, acceptable plateau of being f-ed up.

SO STOKED...

New, 2005 Marin Verona. Hold over from last year. Got uber deal because its end of season.

Not sure on weight, but I am guessing in the 19.5-20.5 range.

Aluminum frame.
Carbon forks.
Carbon cranks.
Carbon rear end.
Carbon seat post.

Not as light as my old Trek 5200 OCLV, but then again, this didn't set me back $2700.....

At 19 to 20 pounds, you have to find some hills. BTW: are you sure your back is up to an aluminum ride?

Not a problem around here. There is only one flat bike trail in Seattle, and that one goes from the foothills of the Cascade Mountains to the shores of Puget Sound.

Edit: Nice ride HD...looks like I could break it by just looking at it though.

Nice bike I have a Marin san marino. I found mine to have a long top tube The sloping top tube makes for a long seat post. I found a carbon seat post helped with vibrations fron the compact/ stiff frame.

Sorry for the terrible picture: 16 1/2 - 17 lbs/650 cc wheels and 44 cm frame (I'm short).

HardDrive - I'm down the street. Burke Gilman Trail!

We still need to get out for a ride Scoot. Tell ya what, as soon as the Sammamish Valley trail connects with the Centinnial Trail out in my neck-of-the-woods I'll meet you at the intersection!
