Did someone really say to Pakistan " You are either with us or we will bomb you back to the stone age". If they didn't they should have. They should say it to Iran and a few more.

Only then will we get some respect. And respect is respect, no matter how it is obtained.

I can't help but think that Clinton desired to be loved above all else. He won praise for brokering deals with North Korea and Yasir Arafat. Unfortunately, Kim Jong Il and Arafat loved Clinton, because they believed him a fool. The deals he brokered were meaningless because the other parties did not fear him.

Iran and North Korea both refuse to enter into deals with Bush because they know that they will not be able to slip out of commitments the way they so easily could with Clinton.

We, the US, has not been loved in a looong time. Right now we are not feared or respected either. Screw being loved...just get some respect however you can. It's a must for us to survive. Our enemies only respect strength and willingness to back up our 'threats'. Right now we're too danm PC to do much of anything. PC is at the root of most of our problems as a nation.
