My ~4 year old laptop's battery has gone to the big house and left me in a bind. Where have yall found replacement batteries in the past, who is good to do business with?
I don't want a refurbished battery and Compaq does not stock a replacement for my machine. ![]() Thanks!!

Ebay or you can try "The Battery Store". They take battery packs apart and rebulid with higher capacity cells (Laptops, Power tools etc..). You could to if you're good with an exacto and a soldering gun.

Just bought new ones for my Latitude D400 and partner's D500. Got both of them off eBay. In the case for mine, Dell wanted $150 and the eBay seller's product is $49.95 for a new, same spec battery.
Go to the HP site and get the part number for your battery, then seach that number on eBay. You should see several options.

So the Taiwan made DELL battery is better than the China made eBay battery? I found the China made Rat Shack relay to be just as good as the China Made Bosch/Porsche relay. Last edited by ruf-porsche; 09-19-2006 at 08:54 PM.. |
