Meteors

Have I missed some stellar event? Every morning and most nights I'm seeing "shooting stars" going mostly east to west, some south to north and some north to south. Mornings are from 0430 to 0600 CST, nights are before 2200 CST.

Just wondering if I'm being blessed or if there is a cosmic event I missed.

Oh, and it is Bush's fault these are falling and Kerry would have kept them in the air, but Kerry would not have had the foresight to blow the buggers up in space and these are just the small particles from the BRILLIANT Bush plan to destroy asteroids in space prior to them hitting the earth. One of these killed a spotted owl and put a protective force over the forest. Have I left anything out?

The numbers of meteors are directly related to the republican's plan to manipulate and control the price of gasoline and milk ;)

Orionids. Thank you!!!

Mike,

Very much what I saw this morning!

Charles,

I've taken to wearing nothing but aluminum hats, I've even thought of getting a toupe' to put the aluminum under for a safety layer. Do you have any designs?

I saw what I think was a couple of meteors this morning on the way to work. It was very quick and pretty bright.

Cool link, thanks.

NPR/Frontline said it was due to Bush global warming policies - then Fox traced it back to Clinton and NAFTA - but I'm pretty sure it's just gravity.

after seeing my meteor and knowing the end of the world is near........ON WENT THE PATENTED FOLDED LIKE NAPOLEONS, ALUM FOIL HAT! i figure i will wear OMP fire suit along w/ the foil and i will be impervious to all intergalactic matter. its always better to be on the safe side. went out this am(its 4am now) and didnt see anything yet. maybe that was just an aliens first probe to see if we humans are really intelligent! or they were scoping out my p-car to steal!

cool show the other morning. came in very low with quite a tail behind it. hadnt seen one that close ever. the sound was really cool.........just a whhhhhoooooosssshhhhhh. no impact sound(probably landed in someones pool). it was very close. there is a guy who hunts down meteors as a full time job. around the world. he goes where the showers are likely to hit earth and then walks the area. meteors go for some insane money on the world market. obviously the bigger he finds the more bucks he commands.

November is the most active time of the year for them. If you find one be careful - some contain strains of virus that can kill you! (at least thats what I read someplace - same guy that wrote about bringing dinosuars back.)
