Predictions for Tonight

If the Democrats win...it will be covered as "the will of the people being served".

If the Republicans win...we'll have stories about voting irregularities, confusing ballots, and how electronic voting machines are rigged for the next few weeks (like we have the past two elections).

I thought most hackers are liberals...Oh I forgot, only the "good guys" hackers are liberal...see movie "Hackers".

Anyone who still wants to be governed by Republicans at this stage of the game needs a good swift kick in the balls, for their own good of course.

dduclaux 11-07-2006 06:31 AM

Anyone who wants to be governed by the Democrats doesn't have any balls!

speeder 11-07-2006 06:36 AM

When it comes to governing, brains trumps balls. In case you haven't noticed.

dduclaux 11-07-2006 06:43 AM

I prefer a nice balance of one with the other -- provided you know how to use both.

speeder 11-07-2006 07:16 AM

We can agree on that. And I would prefer a viable (winnable) alternative to both major parties right now.

gaijindabe 11-07-2006 07:25 AM

I am counting on the "great silent majority" to voice their will.

coup by extremist pacifist group

I hope the vote does get hacked, and all third party candidates win. It would do us a world of good if the Greens and Libertarians took over for a couple of years!

techweenie 11-07-2006 08:08 AM

The votimg machine shenanigans started with early voting. The odd thing is that all of the problems ended up favoring the Republicans. I'm sure it's just a coincidence, though.

Thank you for proving my prediction.

Porsche-O-Phile 11-07-2006 08:15 AM

I hope the Democrats win at least one house or the other of Congress. Not necessarily because I agree with them, but because it will render the balance of this administration's term dead in the water.

The less government can do - especially THIS government - the less they can f*ck it up and the better off the rest of us are.

Thats funny stuff! What 40% of ACORNS voter registrations being made up is from the Republicans? Thats good stuff! Maybe its that Karl Rove again up to his tricks or maybe its Rush Limbaugh.

lendaddy 11-07-2006 08:22 AM

Gonna be real close.

red-beard 11-07-2006 08:22 AM

Voting the graveyard will never end. Soon it will be an offcial part of your will as to who you want to cast your votes. Death should not be a reason for losing the franchise!

Ask Dailey/Blagoyevich who their biggest supporters are.

I guarantee that 100% of dead voters in Chicago vote for them.

We will hear these stories, and some of them will have merit to them. We both D's and R's should take this very seriously and make sure every vote counts - together.

Dubya will watch the beginning of the end. He'll watch it on Fox News. And he won't understand the significance.

Superman 11-07-2006 08:48 AM

It's a great day. Can't lose. I'm expecting to watch my government take on some balance, at least. Some bad guys will be tossed out on their ears. That's good.

Even if the voters surprise everyone again, it means no change. It means voters' angst will be unleashed in two years.

Can't lose.
