This guy is not human.

How do you learn to do stuff like this without dying, a lot.

Balance...is the key...

For that, I take my hat off.

If U look he missed one jump, and had to back pedal.

island_dude 11-09-2006 04:10 AM

Wow! I don't think I ever would have believed it until I saw it.

You should google trials motorcycles and see what those guys do with a motorcycle. Its the same thing as this guy but more as they have a motor to pull them up the side of rocks and mountains.

Their balance is amazing and while I have ridden a bike for 40+ years, I could never get close to what they do.

Nostril Cheese 11-09-2006 06:51 AM

I was just about to type what Joe said. Trials riders are nuts

kach22i 11-09-2006 07:00 AM

At least he was wearing a helmet.:)

What fascinates me about this guy is how he manages to propel himself a good distance without any apparent momentum.

Man, i could do that with my 911 :)

Impressive, reminds me of the BMX trick dudes in the 80s.

that's what grabs my attention. seems smooth and powerful just out of a standstill. full transfer of energy in the desired direction?

gprsh924 11-09-2006 07:56 AM

that was amazing

pmajka 11-09-2006 08:14 AM

Google Hans Rey.....saw him perform once

nick911rs 11-09-2006 09:42 AM

I think it's illegal to ride bikes on the pavement in the UK, so you have to improvise.

MichiganMat 11-09-2006 10:30 AM

As a recently retired BMX rider, I can tell you that a lot of what he's doing is really not that hard. The 360s and the bunnyhops are not difficult, you just need a lot of strength to pull it off. The transistions he's making are pretty good, but I've seen better riders out there.

I saw a guy ride across a suspended chain once, that was wicked.

here, check out these guys:

Wow.
After riding and competing for nearly 20 years I can't even do a track stand!

Dan in Pasadena 11-09-2006 12:43 PM

I think learning to do this requires an ENDLESS amount of time on the bicycle.............oh, and a LOT of scabs!

TheMentat 11-09-2006 01:07 PM

here's the same guy from the first video (Ryan Leech), in his segment from ROAM (the trailer MichiganMat posted):
