At one point his speed goes from about 60mph to about 140mph in what....4 seconds?

Best quote: "In second gear i got red out!"

AMAZING.

He lost to a Hiyabusa turbo at the end.

Which is amazing in and of itself.

Equally amazing is that they got 1000 HP from a stock motor and fuel delivery system. Wish my 928 had that much built in excess fuel delivery capacity, lol.

I have to laugh, he takes it to the track and nearly eats a wall due to lack of traction, but is perfectly o.k. running on the street with a 1012 HP rocket and blasting to over 120MHP on secondary roads.

They mention that it is almost useless in second gear and at a road course it cannot move out of a corner without wanting to swap ends.

I guess if your into point and shoot on the street this is the ultimate car.

This guy is in Florida and I hope I never see him on the road, he might kill me.

BTW - there is a second vid around somewhere he is up to 1500+ RWHP.

Yeah, the scene where he was drag racing was dangerous. He needs different rubber all around. (Perhaps wider tires in the rear with a softer compound?)

He needs to take it off the street before he kills someone or himself.

I had a friend that drove like that on the street, every time he got into his car he was on the floor with the loud pedal.

He had a turbo charged WS6 putting 700 to the ground. He tried to run a redlight one day, he was alreay doing 70 in a 45 and when he punched it (because 70 was not fast enough he needed at least 100) he turned the car sideways. He ended up hitting a concrete power pole and in a coma for 1 month.

When he woke he was so brain damaged that he had to learn how to walk, talk, and eat all over again, he will never develop past the are of a 10 y/o.

Its one thing to own a really powerful car and dirve it on the street with some sort of responsibility reserving the crazy stuff for the track, its another to drive like a maniac all the time, then the odds eventually catch up with you.

Just goes to show you that power is nothing without control. He needs to figure out some way to get traction, or else all that power is useless. The power generated by that thing is awesome, but it just further shows you how important the R&D by companies like Bugatti in getting these 1000+hp cars' power to the road.

I would like to see a drag race and a track race between a Veyron and this FGTTT monster.

Yep. Even when I'm running the 951 hard on the street (which is rare), I always at least short-shift before the boost comes on too strong.

Even if I was the best driver in the world and had complete control of my vehicle at all times, there are drivers around me that do not. All it takes is one cell-phone-talking minivan driver to lazily pull into my lane while I'm blasting past traffic at triple-digit speeds to bring things to an abrupt end.

It was one of the mechanics driving it at the track, not the owner.
