Herbie

The last Herbie film is on tv tonight in Italy.
Of course I'm going to watch it again;) Real Disney nostalgia.
The problem as discussed over dinner with husband, beloved offspring, her boyfriend, Milu and his gf, the blonde bombshell - There's a new owner in every film - who on earth owning a car like Herbie would give it up? I understand it's necessary for the story but couldn't it have been done differently? I would also have preferred Disney using a 356.
Starts in 45' I'm preparing the nibbles.:D

Since seeing the first one as a kid I am crazy about all things air-cooled and German. Go figure. Have not seen the last one..

As a kid, it was my favorite movie also. Dad always had a Beetle in those days, the last one being I think a '75 or '77 red convertable.

The traditional VW bug is just a flat-out cool car.

YES! But to me the 356 is even cooler!

The old one was always a favorite. The new one with Lungs Magilicutty makes daddy smile.

cinco plus tres = ocho

Any pics of Lindsey? :D

Why? Have you ever seen her up close? Not worth the digital memory, which I can even erase.

The a few of the real Herbies (there were multiple cars) had 356 running gear and engines...

Guess I have not, always thought she was cute.

Is she a nice person to be around or a brat?

I do not follow movie stars too close but she looked good in the movie.

PM sent Jim.

Its a flashback from one of the old movies. Wikipedia tells me its from the 1980 film "Herbie Goes Bananas"
