Been there, done that Stjin. "Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." But, alas, "I'm not like that anymore..."

The two people I felt to be the least civil are still around, though not much lately. One was ran out of OT in disgrace, the other hasn't been around much.

After my initial post it struck me that my sentiments perhaps are produced by a two years long Pelican member desensitizing and growing emotional indifference. But then it started to look like you all agree that it has gotten nicer, so I swiftly buried that pessimistic, disillusioned explanation.
Simply lovely to see all you wicked bastards get along !!

If I enjoyed "aggressiveness and personal attacks" I'd have stayed married to my first wife.
I'd be willing to host a gathering of OTers. "Patrons of this establishment are requested to hang guns here" Jim

I decided to spend less time in front of the computer and more time with my wife and kids, finishing projects around the house, and concentrating on my work.
I also spent some time (and money) here in RI trying to wrest control of the Senate from the Repubs, and I'm quite pleased that my little state did it's part in putting a check on this president. For a long time, I thought the majority of this board, those that protected the president's flanks with venom and vigor as he drove the nation off a cliff, represented the country. Now I know they do not, so I've also calmed down quite a bit. We have a lot of work to do to repair the damage of the last six years, but November 06 was a good start. All is good
