Porsche tax

Ok, who is tired about hearing people complain about the Porsche tax. I know I am.

Here is an idea
Sell your car and STFU or
Build the parts yourself and STFU Or
Keep wining about it and I could not read your lame ass posts.

So, now that you've decoded and then decided what the final word is, we all STFU and let the board die, right?

No, what I am saying is stop complaining about the price of Porsches.

Or not:rolleyes:

This poll is written like the old joke...

"Answer "yes" or "no" only. Have you stopped beating your wife?"

To be accurate, the poll's choices need to be less leading. Instead of "No, I like hearing people piss and moan" how about "I haven't noticed a lot of people complaining." This might explain the current stats of 68 people have viewed the thread and only 3 have responded to the poll.

Here I thought the local constabulary collected the "Porsche tax".

All I know about this subject is that I had a 20 year old 911 that I owned and maintained for over 3 years and sold it for almost exactly what I paid for it... and now I am driving the coolest $32,000 car on the block (993 Cab) and just the other day I did the first repair on it in 1.5 years other than normal maintanance (valve cover gasket) with parts that I bought from Pelican. I say whoooeee to the Porsche Tax. Its for people who nickle and dime things without having a perception of real value.

I don't really know what you are talking about when you say "porsche tax" so here's a bunny with a pancake on his head:

Well according to the 911 snobs, my car is a "gussied-up VW", so I guess I'm immune to such problems.

Since Porsche is a relatively small production car, stuff cost more.

For example, headers for a Chevy small block cost less than a grand but for a 930 they are $3k

An intercooler for a Honda is $600 or so and a Porsche it's $2K plus.

Or I have hear guys complain "when I told him the seats were from a Porsche they jacked the price up"

It's a "mail-in" tax. PM me for the address to send your money to. ;)
