You feel like driving south from DC, about an hour and a half, love to host you.

Besides, my Perception XT should be in the Smithonian! Could be part of the exhibit:D

Jim Richards 01-29-2007 03:29 PM

I'm in DC.

VincentVega 01-29-2007 11:20 PM

Come to naptown for some oysters and crabs

Jim Richards 01-30-2007 03:59 AM

Are you talking about the women?

Rick Lee 01-30-2007 05:44 AM

Lots of Pelicans around here and a few right near where you're gonna be in DC.

Jim Richards 01-30-2007 05:50 AM

Rick knows all the gentlemen's clubs.

Rick Lee 01-30-2007 06:04 AM

But I'm no gentleman.

pookie 01-30-2007 06:42 AM

What are you putting in the Smithsonian? Pics?

Subscribed. I'm planning a vacation at the moment to visit DC in the next few weeks. Any recommendations are welcome. I want to get there before schools are out and the real vacation season starts. Or, does it make any difference?

I'm a complete travel novice. I really don't even like to travel or vacation, but I figure I might as well see our nation's capital while I still can. The Holiday Inn looks to be right smack in the middle of things.

For one day, I'd like to rent a car and drive out into the countryside. Seahawk, I might take you up on your previous offer. :) I thought I'd stay Sunday through Saturday sometime in late April or early May.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but any info might benefit procon, too. He's a lot closer than I am!

Procon, you as well.

Off Topic - I will be in town (sylva) Friday the 16th through Wed the 21st.

It sounds like you are busy but if you have time Friday afternoon for a glass of wine let me know. I was about to send you an e-mail.

Yeah, my new years resolution lasted about 2 days. ;)

Your a better man than I, Jay.

Rick Lee 02-13-2007 05:04 PM

Procon, how long are you staying?

Jim, do you mean you're gonna be in the DC area?

Milt, this is not a great vacation season. Weather sucks right now and the fed. gov't. closes at the mere prediction of less than 1" of snow. There is some great countryside in VA for 911 or motorcycle driving. But this ain't the best weather for it. Lemme know what you wanna see and I can give you some tips. Some well-kept secrets are a tour of the Pentagon, sitting in on committee hearings in Congress, foreign embassy open houses, phenomenal hidden ethnic restaurants and even some Potomac PCA or Dorkiphus P-car events;).

Jims5543 02-13-2007 07:06 PM

No Rick I have a vacation home in the same town as Procon and I am heading up later this week to stay there and unwind for a few days. Maybe take the kids skiing for a day or 2 next week.

}{arlequin 02-14-2007 08:02 AM

nice. rick is right ab the weather but by the time you guys get here, it could be 60 degrees as well lol
