jezza in an old camaro
hamster in a pickup
and captain slow in some bigas caddilac or soemthing


before hitting Alabama, they decorated their cars with spraypaint...

"nascar sucks"
"man love rules"
"hillary for president"
"i'm bi"
"country & western is rubbish"
etc etc

and some fuelstation ownerwoman got ticked off and "called the boys", rock got thrown and they had to make a run for it, including the camera crew...

svandamme - I saw this tonight, too. I didn't know that the program went out to "Europe" at the same time as the UK showing.
By the way, I can envisage some US folk getting a little upset with some of the stereotyping.

we've been getting stereotypiing of europe everytime they bring out a movie that has American kids do something in Europe...(eurotrip for example) do i get upset then? eeh no.

That's pretty stupid. Maybe I should buy a Jag, paint "God save the Queen" on the side and drive through Belfast waving the Union Jack. No less dangerous than driving through Alabama like that. They had more to worry about from the cops than the civilians. They very well could have learned the true meaning of "man love rules".

well, with a camera crew , and a probably 6-7 crew of Brits on a BBC payroll, i think the cops , no matter how redneck will have the smarts to at least keep it civilised somewhat...

Yep. Pretty much the response I expected. Seriously-they were lucky not to get their a$$es kicked or worse. It's not so much that the folks down there can't take an insult as much as they don't like being messed with. ESPECIALLY by foreigners! I'm very surprised they didn't get arrested. Remember, black people were being killed there for less only a generation or so ago. Maybe even still I'm sad to say.

That said, it was a funny bit. The looks from the passing motorists were hilareous. I puckered up at the site of the "Man Love" truck. That HAD to be REALLY uncomfortable driving that thing! I'm glad they had the common sense to end it when things got ugly.

Maybe for their next stunt they'll step it up a notch and drive through East St. Louis or South Chicago with "Rap Sucks" and the "N" word, etc painted on their cars. Probably never see them again.:rolleyes:

Up the street from my house in North Carolina is a car with a big rainbow sticker on the back of it. Its not a gag because its always on there.

I have always wondered if the driver of this car gets crap for that.

That was crazy and kind of sad too. I wouldn't call that poking fun but more exposing the narrow minded.

The irony in this is that both extreme groups of people are no different. Thats the really sad part.

If I saw them roll into my town I would have been laughing. I might even would have walked over to find out what was up.
