March on DC to demand the closing of southern border

I'm guessing anyone reading this is doing so with the idea of 'it's about time, i hope i can attend'.

I know that 'I' can not motivate enough people to walk out from work and demand that numbskull in DC wake up and stop this illegal problem. So who can? What organization can get this march on the calendar and make it happen? Maybe a million US citizens that actually vote standing in DC and demanding some effing action would be enough to put this on both parties agenda!

Anyone? Let's do it before we ALL have stories of financial and personal loss due to undocumented, uninsured aliens taking over our land!

Let's all show up waving Mexican flags like they did at their protest marches not too long ago. It'd be poetic justice.

I tend to agree. For the most part, the citizenry has arrived at the conclusion that their voice does not count in Washington.

A sad commentary on our national situation.

Not everyone.

pat

There are no absolutes. Like I said "for the most part".

I, too, keep pestering my elected officials. It is my way of telling them not everyone is cowed by their "power".

Better yet, why don't we all show up on the border with high powered rifles? We don't need bullets just the site of a few thousand heavily armed people all looking south. Hell we could have a pig roast, they wouldn't know what we were "smoking" in the pit.

I think encouraging county governments to get more involved will work. While the federal government claims jurisdiction over all illegal alien law, there are numerous gaps that should defer to local disposition.

Moneyguy1 02-14-2007 01:59 PM

Out here, pat, only 100 miles from the border, just about EVERYONE is involved: Ranchers, homeowners along the border, the Indian tribes, you name it. It is a big problem and Washington just seems to ignore it for whatever reason.

Cheap labor and free flow of drugs.

B2 pardons drug dealers, offers amnesty to smugglers, and jails border patrol agents. I think he's the worst president ever.

Long range Tazars could prove to be fun. We could also lay some eletric fence in the Rio Grande.
