The War Will Spread
 

Its just a matter of time now before U start to see Sectarian Violence Spread to other countries in the ME and Central Asia. This "Thing" has taken on a life of its own, that it is going to spread far beyond Iraq and it doesn't matter if US Troops are pulled out of Iraq or not.

When I was a young...very young boy...I watched my dad looking at the news on TV...The ME was fighting...It's the same today...and for sure my kids will watch the same news on TV in 20 years...!!! Let's them doing what they are the best to be......Killing themself...!

I'm waiting for the epiphany. I was told a few years ago that the majority of American and other people in the world were just not smart enough to understand Dubya's towering international relations genius. I was told that eventually I would come to understand his piercing insight and I would see important progress.

I'll continue to wait. From my ignorant perspective, it just looks like we've started to tragically destabilize an explosive part of the world, while increasing the number of Muslims who hate America and Americans.

Many leaders during the history of the world were misunderstood and saddened by the fact that people did not recognize the greatness that led them.

As for the ME, what has really changed (except the technology to kill more efficiently) in the last 1,000 years?

I am not taking a stand here, since, like Supe, I am a member of the vast uninformed and certainly, in my case, not wise enough to comprehend world affairs but: If Americans and Europeans were NOT active in the Middle East, who would these people have to fight with? Each other?

I am informed enough and wise enough to comprehend World affairs...especially after seeing the accomplishments of those who have been running the show for the last 20 years. BTW my thoughts are begining to be posted on through to those who make a difference.

Chairman Mao said WW3 or 4 howevfer ya want to count it would be between the Industrial Nothern Nations vs the Southern 3rd World Nations...I have allways kept that in the back of the head.

Also since I was in School and thats a long long time ago now I always knew Islam was an unstable Religion that was want to go off on a wild hair Jihad. That once they get going the fanatism takes over and they are unstoppable (unreasoning or not to be reasoned with) that a bullet is the only way to stop them. That came out of my knowledge of Islamic History. Which is really pretty scant.

Other than that I went to sleep and didn't see the rise of fundlementalism and the Jihad.

This is going to sound like one of my smarta$$ comebacks but seriously.

I know the movie is fiction but I watched Laurence of Arabia the other night and it was very insightful. Outside forces (the British) occupying the ME... inciting one side of the locals to go to war with the other... not understanding their culture and not able to control the people.

It's like Deja vu all over again.
