I agree though, pretty lame to lurk and rate every thread someone starts. It has to be someoen who replies, correct?

I always forget to rate threads, never saw any reason to do it...

I view it as a proof of causing someone to take action because what I've written. They can't help themselves.

In reality, it's a badge of success, take it as that.

Rating a thread without posting a comment is like throwing rocks from behind a bush. Not terribly courageous.

There are watchers - witness without participation. They lurk, loom and wait without ever moving forward to be heard. Their soul is hollow and their backs are weak. They shake and cower at the first sign of personal involvement gaining satisfaction only from others toils and folly without ever putting forth an opinion or idea once their own. Consider them life’s mute audience; non-paying and non-productive. (Not unlike a nipple of a foot).

That would be me to a tee.:D

I'm pretty fearful of posting my viewpoints. As you know. Still, I've never rated any thread.

Wow. I've never noticed if any of my threads get rated. I never notice any thread's ratings.

Same for me...every thread start gets a single star. I figure it helps me find it later. But hey, I'll give this one a best rating...just to screw whomever up. :D

+1, never rated anything myself, am not aware how to, and I care more what I think of somthing than what some unknown person thinks of it.

I did just give you a 5 on this one though, my first rating

only lets you vote once though, tried to give you two "5" ratings, without success, sort of make you feel better.

Sometimes I rate my Wife, it is really fun when it got X-rated but more often it has been G rated lately.

I once rated myself, it was over-rated.

I noticed that there is one person on 911 parts for sale who automatically gets a 'worst' rating within minutes of posting anything for sale. Kind of a Hatfield/McCoys thing, I suppose.

I bet 99% of people here pay no attention.
