Car wash curse

I don't wash my Jeep that often, but I swear, every time I do, it will either rain later that day or the next day. I kid you not. Does anyone else have that problem, or am I the only one cursed with this bad luck?

I got it washed on Monday, and between the freshly-spewing pollen and Bradford Pear little white leaves, and some kind of weird sticky wetness coming from some tree nearby (eww!), it looks worse now than it did before I washed it! Go figure...

Used to happen all the time. Spend 5-6 hours detailing my old Scirocco and the rain shows up within two days. I faked the weather out by having two cars, by she's on to me. It's been really windy here and rain was in the forecast. Saw some rain splatters on the living room window. Decided to switch my cars around in the "garage", 911 gets a few drops of water on the layer of dust, but no biggie... After cars are switched around, I am back inside, look out the window and sky is blue - still windy though.

Same here.

When I was living in Portales NM we had an 8 month stretch of no rain. Place was turning into a nice dustbowl.

A few hours after I wash all the dirt of my car we finally get some rain with baseball sized hail

There was no mention of storms/moisture or anything int he forcast, been the same for months- sunny/dry/windy

So the car is clean but I had to get the roof replaced on the house and half the windows

Afterwards I threw the garden hose out....

At least the car was in the garage when it happened.

Another problem out there that the ground water had so much calcium in it it would etch the glass, damage the paint if your car got wet by someones lawn sprinkler and you didn't dry it off in time.

I just bought my father a Mr. Clean Car Wash system that uses a filter on the water to eliminate water spots and he said it really works. You could rinse the car after a rain, then not have to towel-dry the car. Just a suggestion...

I figured you were going to say you crashed. I swear every crash I had when I was younger seemed to happen after I washed and waxed my car or motorcycle . Not that I had that many crashes .

The Mr. Clean systems do work but our water is so hard here you have to change the filter about every other wash which gets kind of expensive.

Now it's covered with white blossoms and yellow streaky pollen all down the sides...so much for a clean car...ah well, live and learn I guess...thanks guys for the stories! Keep 'em coming!

That's one of the reasons why I'd like to live in either Arizona or California one day. No rain! (I hate rain, in case you haven't noticed)

The guy I bought my 911 from owned it for over four years. He claimed he never washed it with water. Just the auto-duster and detail spray when needed.
