I guess keeping it "all-VW" would be nice, simply because I could go to an all VW mechanic.
When the time comes, I will look into those options too. Won't be for 1+ year, though. Slight change of subject, how do you think Fuchs would look on a Vanagon? I found a vendor of Fuchs copies with the Vanagon-correct bolt pattern. A bit more expensive than most other Vanagon wheel options, but cheaper than real Fuchs. These wheels are 15" x 5.5", a little narrower than I'd like, but would still fit a 195 tire which is wider than my current 185s. Also have black painted with polished rims and petals, which would match my 911's Fuchs. In fact, with a custom adapter for the Prius, the whole fleet could ride on Fuchs-look. |
