craftsman tool club

Has everyone heard of the Craftsman Tool Club? You call an 800#, give them a name, address, and phone number and optional email address. They send you a card. From time to time or monthly or something, I'm not sure how often, they have special member only sales that can run anywhere from 20-50% off so far that I've heard of. I think it also gets you 10% off the rest of the time, but I'm not 100% certain about that.

Tonight I bought a $50 digital level that's good to .1* for $35. Seemed like a pretty good deal, and should work pretty good when doing alignment work.

Or setting the angle of those pesky rear spring plates. (911 content, and i don't even own a 911 any more)

you can also sign up at your local sears, but the phone thing is easier.

I bought a table saw a couple years ago and they sent me the card unsolicited. So maybe if you blow enough cash, they make you an honorary member. :)

They send you a little catalog every month or so. Usually 15% less or so. Sometimes more. They had a digital multimeter last year for $10 if you were a member. It was $20 on the shelf.

Just bought one of those metal sheds and used the card. Saved me a bit.

Yep, I got my table saw and air compressor, and impact sockets with deals through the Craftsmen Club. I have realized savings from 10% - 50% off of marked prices.

IMO Craftsman = overpriced, over-hyped, over marketted tools that are no better than the bargain stuff. Even when it's on sale it's over priced.

I have some craftsman tools, but only because of christmas gifts. For the same money you can buy proto which is a higher quality (but still over-priced compared to bargain tools).

I called and got a warm and breathing body. Heck, I like Craftsman hand tools and if I can get them "on sale" (read Harbor freight type prices) I will grab them!!

Yep, I called once on the weekend at night and got a person and then called two other days to get my number, and everytime a person answers. It's kind of surprising.

I've had my craftsmen club car so long, that I've worn off the magnetic stripe! Saved me a lot of money.

I guess I can call the number and request a new card.
