it was kinda cool, the transport and support staffs were amazing. a lot of $$$.

the 430 challenge races seems to be a bit rough, a whole bunch of dented up cars that i did not photograph.

we entered after the event, but the f-1 cars did run the track. the sound was unreal. we were way up the hill at the go-cart venue on a very windy day and the cars drowned the sound of the kart race going on 10 feet away.

some cool cars and some pomp-ass dicks too. while my car is trailer up some support guy from one of the teams say "what are you doing here with a porsche?" in a real shatty tone. i proceed to tell him thats all i can afford to take to the track, and asked him what he drove this weekend besides the rental car he was in... he kinda fumbled a bit and i interrupted his mumbling as about his lap times, and closed with "really, is it not more about getting ON the track then what you bring to the track?" what a deek i thought as he neutral dropped his rental car and sped off.

enjoy,

T$

Any more pictures of the BB-LM?

Sad about your experience with some owners(?)/enthusiastists. I've never gotten that with my 944 at Ferrari events here in the Carolina's.

Last night at our PCA meeting, we invited a guy with a Spec Miata racecar to talk to us. Very cool.

A little later, a new member in a 996 Turbo (by far the most expensive car in our little chapter) pulled up. He got out, looked at my car and said: "Man...I do love the 951. I had one 20 years ago and loved it."

The guy with a 924S and the guy with a 997 Carrera 4 are good friends.

I love my local PCA group.

I was there on Saturday. The 430s looked like rich man's NASCAR. 3 offs while the pacecar was out before the race, four offs on the first lap.

I believe car #9 in your photo is a 1957 250 TR that one of my coworkers crews on. Apparently something in the rear suspension broke and they had a really hard time getting it onto the trailer. The owner has raced it since the mid-60s.

funny thing is the guy that was an a-hole was not even a driver, or owner for that matter, he was some support guy. my intent was not to paint with a broad brush, just that there seems to be one in every crowd. some might say i am that guy in the BAP crowd..

johan, how have you been my man? its been way too long since we've seen you around, hope things are well with you. you must have married that sweet thing i met a few years back and she's got you on a short leash? whatever the reason it's been too many moons, gotta get out and see the BAP boys real soon. even dan the cat has gotten reaquainted since returning from europe, what says yee? a huge group (last count 10-12 of the inner circle{thats fer your durkie}) will run thunder hill with track-masters 5/11, any chance you can make it? we had around that many last may and it was a GREAT time. email me if interested for the down and dirty details.

I saw those Ferrari trucks and covered car carriers on I-80 on my way to Reno on Monday AM. I thought they were heading to Reno-Fernley.

Say, how come there's no Porsche Challenge or is there?
